I'm shrinking.

That is all.

You dont want it bad enough.

“Im too tired” - You dont want it bad enough.

“But it tastes good” - You dont want it bad enough.

“I’ll start tomorrow” - You dont want it bad enough.

Do you see where I’m going with this? I’m so sick of hearing excuses that mean, I’m too lazy, or I’m not dedicated, or I don’t have what it takes. Because you do, everyone does, all you have to do is try.

One saying I hate is “Do or do not, there is not try”. Because it makes no damn sense. To try something is to attempt it, so whether you completed the task or not, you still tried. In some cases however, to try is to complete. Don’t eat crappy food, the second you attempt to not eat crappy food, bam, you completed it. Now obviously you cant just go out and attempt a 600lb squat and expect to complete it if you try hard, but I’ve walked into the gym before, told everyone I was gonna PR, and then done it. It’s a mindset.

Don’t you think Ali was tired in the 14th round of the Thrilla in Manila? Don’t you think Emmit Smith wanted to quit when he was running over the Giants D in the 4th quarter with a separated shoulder? Determination is what separates greatness, from being average, andthe worst thing you can be, is average.

So the next time you have an excuse heading up your vocal chords and about to exit your mouth, swallow that son of a bitch back down there and just fucking do it. You’ll thank yourself later.

Sometimes you just need to read things like this post. Thank you for writing it. <3

When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of “rehearsal” for maintenance isn’t the worst thing in the world.

The Better Salad (In a Jar)

goodbye146:

In my salad I put the dressing, chicken, sauteed mushrooms, and cherry tomatoes at the very bottom. Next I layered carrots and cucumbers to keep the leafy greens away from the wet items. Salads can be prepared up to a week in advance without losing their freshness.

You can layer any kind of vegetables you want! Just make sure to layer most wet (at the bottom) to least wet (at the top).
